Switzerland
GROUP A

Since the World Cup, Switzerland was surprise semi-finalists at the expense of Belgium in the inaugural Nations League, but won only once in the 2020 tournament. They qualified for the Finals by winning an attritional group that included Denmark, Ireland and Georgia, which reinforced their reputation as tough to beat.
Switzerland has an experienced side, yet their oldest player is 32-years old in goalkeeper Yann Sommer. The defence and midfield look as solid as weve come to expect from the Swiss in recent campaigns. Captain Granit Xhaka has proved to be a far better player for his country than Arsenal and Xherdan Shaqiri can provide an x-factor in the final third.
Ricardo Rodriguez - The Torino wing-back scored in the international friendly win over USA, and he will provide a constant outlet down the left for Switzerland. The set-piece and penalty-taking defender is featuring in his fourth tournament for his country having been named in the Swiss squad at the 2014 and 2018 World Cups as well as Euro 2016. His threat from dead ball situations could be key to progress from the group stages.
