Wales
GROUP A

Five years ago, Wales reached a European Championship semi-final. Five years before that, they were officially 116th in the world. What expectations can you base on that?
With their FIFA ranking?s sine wave flattening near its peak, recent success looks sustainable. Wales? four best Centre-backs are all aged 20-23 and their attack offers an array of youthful promise, while the FAW?s coaching setup earns nothing but praise. The future?s bright. On the pitch, Wales live on tight margins despite their attacking talent. Having reached Euro 2016 by scoring 11 goals in 10 qualifiers, they made Euro 2020 with 8 goals in 10 games.
Due to turn 32 this summer, Bale remains the talisman and is Wales' all-time record marksman. A huge influence on and off the field, he has scored crucial goals throughout his international career since debuting in 2006. However the players form have rapidly drooped mostly due to injuries.
During 2020/2021 camping Bale endured a mixed season on loan at Tottenham from Real Madrid, with the Wales international in and out of the side under both Jose Mourinho and Ryan Mason. However, the Madrid forward concluded his temporary return to Spurs in the best way possible, with a final day brace against Leicester City at the King Power Stadium.
Semi Final (2016)
Although wales participated in all but one UEFA European Championship since it began as the European Nations' Cup in 1960, prior to Euro 2020 the Dragons have managed to qualify for the European Championship only once (2016) where they ended the tournament as Semi Finalists.
